University of Plymouth

“Hi I’m Jon a 3rd year Geography and Geology student at Plymouth university, I originally got involved with Moor Trees last year, I was drawn to the charity for two main reasons one to escape the concrete jungle of Plymouth and get some fresh country air and two I’ve always been passionate about conservation so I wanted to do some kind of volunteering and help in some way.
Last year my girlfriend and I attended every session and as such got volunteers of the year at Plymouth University this lead me to become the current group leader for the Moor Trees project.
My responsibilities, if you would stretch to call them that, include getting volunteers to sign up and come along, make sure everyone has a laugh and an awesome time and most importantly to buy the cake and biscuits “
